Mallika Jayanti, born in 1980, is an exponent of Bharatanatyam, an ancient Indian classical dance form. Her training in Bharatanatyam commenced at the early age of three. She has also received intensive training in Kuchipudi and has recently begun learning Kathak. Jayanti has been performing professionally for over 15 years, showcasing her talent on various stages across India, Australia, and the USA. Beyond her performances, Mallika Jayanti is dedicated to promoting Indian classical dance globally. She conducts workshops, lecture demonstrations, and classes, traveling extensively for these events. She currently teaches Bharatanatyam for Gurukulam in Omaha, USA, and also offers Bharatanatyam, Kathak, and Classical Indian Dance classes in Omaha, Nebraska. As a student of art, she engages in significant research on theology, particularly Hinduism and dance, and has authored articles, including a compilation on "Javalis" for Narthaki. Her contributions to the field of Bharatanatyam have been recognized with awards such as "Natya Sri" in 2008 and "Nrutya Praveena" in 2012 at the International Dance Congress. Mallika Jayanti continues to expand her knowledge in Bharatanatyam while appreciating other classical dance forms, with a mission to promote quality talent and art.
