Manoj Sonagra is an accomplished Indian classical dancer specializing in Kathak, who also actively explores contemporary dance forms rooted in Kathak. He is a member of the Aditi Mangaldas Dance Company – The Drishtikon Dance Foundation. Sonagra received his Kathak training for seven years under the tutelage of Pt. Rajendra Gangani and belongs to the Jaipur Gharana of dance and music. He further honed his skills in contemporary dance based on Kathak under the guidance of Aditi Mangaldas. Sonagra's career highlights include numerous performances at festivals and trade fairs across India. He officially joined the Aditi Mangaldas Dance Company- The Drishtikon Dance Foundation in July 2015. Within the company, he has been a significant contributor, performing solos and assisting in choreography. In 2018, he conceptualized "5 Elements" for the company's "10X10" production. His work, including a powerful solo performance, has been featured in Drishtikon baithaks, such as one held at the Serendipity Arts Foundation in Delhi in May 2019. During the pandemic (2020-2022), as a repertory member of the Drishtikon Dance Foundation, he was involved in conducting online and offline Kathak classes for students from economically weaker sections through the Sarvam Shakti Foundation. His contemporary dance based on Kathak was also presented in a digital Drishtikon Home Studio Baithak on April 5, 2020.
