Manu Srinivasan is a Bharatanatyam dancer and the daughter of acclaimed Bharatanatyam guru, Lalitha Srinivasan. She is actively involved in the Nupura School of Bharatanatyam, an institution founded by her mother in Bengaluru in 1978. Manu Srinivasan serves as the Secretary of the dance school. She also collaboratively helms the annual Nitya Nritya festival with her mother, an event that has established a global footprint as a dance destination. The festival aims to bring various art forms together and provides a platform for young, future-looking artists to ensure the preservation and revival of traditional idioms. Manu Srinivasan has also curated online dance festivals, such as "Sakhya," organized by Nupura School of Bharatanatyam, demonstrating her commitment to propagating dance, including through virtual platforms. She acknowledges both the advantages and disadvantages of online dance education. Her dance training was imparted by her mother, Lalitha Srinivasan.
