Meena Telikicherla is a prominent figure in Indian classical dance, recognized as a dancer, choreographer, and artistic director specializing in Bharatanatyam. She trained under some of India's leading dancers and has since presented numerous critically acclaimed performances in both India and the United States. Telikicherla is the founder and artistic director of Nrityanjali, a non-profit institution based in Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA, dedicated to promoting awareness and providing opportunities to learn and perform the Bharatanatyam style of Indian classical dance. Under her direction, the Nrityanjali Performance Ensemble has gained local and national recognition for its outstanding performances. She has also produced and directed various dance dramas and delivered lecture demonstrations at several universities. Telikicherla is a recipient of awards from the Maryland State Arts Council for her continuous contributions to classical dance. Her teaching legacy includes training numerous students, notably Daniel Phoenix Singh, who went on to establish his own dance company, and Thilinie Kuruppu, who undertook her solo debut after 14 years of tutelage.
