Nishita Laliwala is an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer and teacher with over two decades of experience in the art form. Her journey in Bharatanatyam began as a hobby and evolved into a profound passion. She adheres to the Nalanda form of Bharatanatyam. Laliwala completed her Visharad Purna (graduation) from the Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, a respected institution in India dedicated to popularizing Indian classical dance and music since 1939. Nishita Laliwala has extensive teaching experience, having taught Bharatanatyam in India for over five years before relocating. As of October 2015, she joined Bella Diva World Dance in Denver, Colorado, USA, as a Bharatanatyam instructor, where she continues to share her expertise. She also offers Bollywood and Bharatanatyam dance classes in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Throughout her career, Laliwala has been an active performer. For a decade, she performed for her dance teacher once every two years as part of bi-annual stage shows, and she has also served as a compere for these events. Her performance venues in Mumbai include prestigious locations such as the National Centre for the Performing Arts, Chembur Fine Arts Society, and Y B Chavan Centre. Beyond her dance career, Nishita Laliwala also pursues a mainstream career in accounting and enjoys various outdoor activities and culinary experiences.
