Vidushi Dr. Nithya Ramesh is a distinguished figure in Indian classical dance, recognized as a researcher, performer, teacher, and the head of Natyaroha. She has dedicated over two decades to rigorous training in Bharatanatyam under the tutelage of acharya Sri Ashok Kumar. Her commitment to the art form culminated in her Arangetram in 2007. Further solidifying her expertise, she was awarded a scholarship from the Karnataka Sangeetha Nrithya Academy to support her training. Dr. Ramesh earned the esteemed title "Vidushi" or scholar after successfully completing the pre and antima vidwath examinations offered by the Karnataka State Secondary Education Board in 2013-14. As a principal dancer of the Natyanjali troupe, she performed in over 250 shows, often taking on lead and strong characters in major productions. Her performances with the troupe took her to prestigious events across India, the UK, and Dubai. Dr. Nithya Ramesh has also presented numerous noteworthy solo performances, including at the Udupi Krishna Temple in 2007, which was telecast live, and in the distinguished presence of the Governor of Karnataka in Bangalore the same year.
