Pallavi Sharda is an Australian actress and Bharatanatyam dancer of Indian descent. Raised in Australia, she discovered her artistic voice through Indian classical and folk dance styles from a young age, beginning her Bharatanatyam training at three. She learned Bharatanatyam from Srimati Renuka Arumughasamy, a revered Sri Lankan Tamil teacher in Melbourne, at the Kalanjali School of Dance. Renuka Arumughasamy's guidance in the rigorous Kalakshetra style instilled in Sharda a deep discipline and spiritual practice, emphasizing precision of mudra, rhythm, and expression. For Sharda, dance became a bridge to her heritage, a medium for emotional truth and embodied storytelling that informs her acting roles, activism, and life. She is recognized as one of the best Bharatanatyam dancers in Australia. Her classical training has evolved into contemporary spaces, including choreographing the end sequence of the film "Wedding Season," where she blended classical technique with modern movement. Sharda also performed in the stage production of the musical Taj Express from 2011 to 2012. Beyond dance, she is an award-winning actress in Bollywood and Hollywood, having moved to Mumbai in 2010 to pursue her acting career. She is passionate about acting, dancing, and speaking, and is involved in mentoring young creatives.
