Pooja Chirala commenced her Bharatanatyam training at the age of five, studying under the tutelage of Guru Vishal Ramani. She marked a significant milestone in her dance journey with her Arangetram performance on July 14, 2007, becoming the 81st graduate of the esteemed Shri Krupa institution. During her high school years at Harker, Chirala was an active participant in various dance programs, showcasing her dedication to the art form. Her talent was recognized internationally when, in March 2008, she was part of the Shri Krupa team that secured two trophies at the International Amateur Dance Competition held in Barcelona. Beyond competitive performances, Pooja Chirala also utilized her artistic skills for philanthropic endeavors. In August 2009, she dedicated a performance titled "Dance for Vision" to raise crucial awareness and funds for the Sankara Eye Foundation, an organization committed to eradicating curable blindness in India. Her performance history includes participation in several Shri Krupa dance ballets and a special "once-in-a-decade surprise offering of gratitude" to her guru, Vishal Ramani, alongside other senior Arangetram graduates. Further demonstrating her commitment to dance, Chirala performed in India in August 2011, alongside her sister Lekha, as part of her grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary celebrations. Her notable performances also include "The Rhythmic Bells" in March 2009 and "Samarpanam-II" in September 2010, held in various locations across California, USA, such as Cupertino and Saratoga. Pooja Chirala's early career highlights her dedication as a Bharatanatyam performer and her engagement in community-oriented dance initiatives.
