Preeti Sharma is an accomplished Indian classical Kathak dancer, choreographer, and teacher, recognized as a Doordarshan graded artist. Her journey in Kathak began in 2013 at Gandharva Mahavidalaya, Mandi House, Delhi, where she received initial training under the guidance of Guru Monisa Nayak ji. After graduating in Kathak from Gandharva Mahavidalaya, she further refined her skills under the tutelage of the renowned Guru Shri Harish Gangani ji. Sharma also holds a Prabhakar in Kathak from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad. She commenced her performing career in 2015, gracing numerous prestigious stages across India. Beyond her performances, Preeti Sharma is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of Kathak dancers. She is the Artistic Director of Kathak Vidya Kendra, an institution where she imparts her knowledge and expertise. She is also a registered teacher with the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal. Her teaching methodology includes utilizing videos and blogs on social media platforms to help young students. Her students have performed at significant events such as the Kala Mahotsav Festival in Delhi, receiving media coverage. Sharma has also gained wider recognition through her participation in popular reality television shows. In 2015, she, along with Piyush Chauhan, appeared on 'India's Got Talent' Season 6. Subsequently, they were among the top 6 finalists in 'Dance Plus' Season 1. She has performed at events like the Madhurita Sarang Music & Dance Festival in 2018.
