Priyancka Ghate is an accomplished Bharatanatyam performer, teacher, and choreographer, who has dedicated over two decades to the Indian classical dance form. She is recognized for her exceptional expertise in expressive gestures and facial expressions, coupled with an impeccable sense of rhythm and graceful stage presence. Ghate is the founder of SUNARTANAM, a KHDA-approved performing arts space located in Dubai, UAE, which aims to impart knowledge and skills in authentic classical Indian art forms. Her journey in dance began at a young age, inspired by a television serial featuring renowned artists Hema Malini and Gauri Amma. After completing her education and working with the Times of India, her guru encouraged her to assist with training and later to establish her own dance center. Priyancka Ghate has explored innovative approaches to Bharatanatyam, including embedding storytelling and poetry, such as spoken word poetry, into her dance presentations. She has performed at events like the Kalpataru International Dance Day Festival in 2021 and has been featured in podcasts discussing the devotional aspect of Bharatanatyam. Through SUNARTANAM, she provides comprehensive and traditional art programs, fostering an environment conducive to art education and self-discovery through dance.
