Ragini Nagar is an Indian classical Kathak dancer and performing artist with over 19 years of experience. She commenced her dance training at the age of seven, initially studying for eight years under Dr. Ragini Makkhar at Act Nadyog, a Kathak dance school. She further pursued professional training for eight years under the guidance of the esteemed Kathak master Guru Shama Bhate. Additionally, she received instruction from renowned percussionist Pt. Suresh Talwalkar. Nagar achieved distinction in the sixth-year examination (Madhyama Purna) from the Gandharv school of arts. She began performing professionally at the age of eleven and has since graced numerous prestigious national and international dance and music festivals. Her artistic approach is characterized by the integration of theatrical elements and applied theatre techniques into her performances. Beyond Kathak, she has explored various other dance forms, including Modern, Contemporary, Bharatanatyam, Ballet, Chhau, Odissi, Kuchipudi, Kathakali, and Mohiniyattam. She has also participated in theatre, light, and sound workshops at Pune University. Ragini Nagar comes from a family of artists, with both her father and grandfather being professional painters. She is based in India.
