Ramya Varma Jagadeesh is an accomplished exponent of Mohiniyattam and Bharatanatyam, recognized as the Founder-Director of Nupura Fine Arts Academy in Mumbai, India. She received her training from esteemed gurus including Kalamandalam Kalyanikutti Amma, Sreedevi Rajan, and Kala Vijayan. As a dedicated performer and teacher, she frequently performs with her students and has graced prestigious stages such as the NCPA Mumbai Dance season at the TATA Theatre. Ramya Varma Jagadeesh is also the organizer of the annual Nupuradhwani Dance Festival, an event dedicated to promoting classical arts by featuring artists from India and abroad. Her contributions to Indian classical dance have earned her titles such as Nritya Ratna, Nritya Shivali, and Nritya Ankur. She is a graded artist with Doordarshan and has authored an illustrated reference book on classical dances.
