Rasya Choppalli began her Bharatanatyam training at the age of nine in Hong Kong, under the tutelage of Smt. Ranjani Menon. Smt. Menon is a disciple of the renowned T. Balasaraswati and Lakshmi Knight. Choppalli completed her Arangetram in 2005. Her career has included international performances in major productions across Hong Kong, Singapore, and India. In 2015, she relocated to the Bay Area in California, where she subsequently founded the Sarada School of Dance in 2017. Currently, Rasya Choppalli teaches Bharatanatyam in Berkeley and Dublin, California, as part of the Bala Center of South Indian Dance, alongside Aggie Brenneman and Deepa. She also offers private lessons from her home studio in Dublin, CA. Choppalli is passionate about engaging both children and adults through dance, storytelling, and movement, believing that art cultivates discipline, creativity, and a strong sense of community.
