Resmi Vinod is a dedicated Indian classical dancer, choreographer, and esteemed teacher, primarily focusing on the Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam dance forms. She is the visionary founder and current head of Vaidehi Nritha Vidyalayam, a prominent institution for classical dance located in Saudi Arabia. Her journey in the world of classical dance as a professional dance instructor, choreographer, and performer commenced in January 2013. Four years later, in May 2017, she established Vaidehi Nritha Vidyalayam with the aim of imparting the rich traditions of Indian classical dance to a new generation of students, fostering their talent and passion for these ancient art forms. Under her tutelage, Vaidehi Nritha Vidyalayam has flourished, with its students actively participating in and presenting various classical dance productions. A notable achievement includes the presentation of the "Aarupadai Veedu" Bharatanatyam dance drama by Team Vaidehi, Saudi Arabia, at the revered Guruvayur Temple in India on August 1, 2026. This grand performance featured over 50 students, showcasing stunning character portrayals and a spectacular display of Bharatanatyam, highlighting the rigorous training and artistic excellence fostered at her academy. Resmi Vinod is actively involved in teaching and nurturing her students, frequently sharing glimpses of their practice sessions and performances on social media platforms, demonstrating her hands-on approach and commitment to their artistic development. Her dedication extends beyond traditional dance instruction; she also conducts workshops exploring the intricate connection between dance and acting, emphasizing the expressive and narrative aspects of classical dance.
