🪔 About

Ritika Mandal is an accomplished Indian classical Odissi dancer, recognized as a Senior Odissi Artist. Her foundational training in Odissi was received at the esteemed Gunjan Dance Academy, an institution established in 1995 under the tutelage and leadership of Guru Smt. Meera Das. Located in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, India, Gunjan Dance Academy is renowned for its deep commitment to the classical and traditional art heritage of Odissi, fostering a highly professional repertory that performs around the globe. As an alumna of such a prestigious academy, Mandal carries forward a rich legacy of Odissi. Mandal has an active and notable performing career, showcasing her Odissi expertise on various international platforms. Her performances include a significant Odissi dance "Abhinaya" at the Celebration of Diwali Festival in Phauraat, Bangkok, an event organized by the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC). She further demonstrated her artistry by performing Odissi to commemorate the third day of Navaratri in October 2020, an event highlighted by ICCR Durgotsav. Expanding her international footprint, Mandal also presented an Odissi performance at Naresuan University in January 2020, an event arranged by SVCC. Her artistic contributions are also evident in various dance series and individual presentations. She has performed in the "Udayaraag Dance Series" alongside fellow dancer Dhara Mohapatra. Mandal has brought traditional Odia songs to life through her Odissi interpretations, such as "Dekhiba Para asare", and has showcased her artistry in performances like "Dhyaye Subarna Varnac Odissi Dance". While her training is deeply rooted in India through the Gunjan Dance Academy, her extensive performance history, particularly in Southeast Asia, highlights her role as a prominent performer in the Odissi classical dance tradition, contributing to its global reach.
