Roshni Raju, born in Michigan, USA, is an Indian classical dancer proficient in Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi. She commenced her Bharatanatyam training at the age of five under Smt. Radhika Acharya, the founder and director of Nupur Academy of Dance. After relocating to India at nine, she continued her Bharatanatyam studies with the late Smt. Usha Srinivasan, founder and director of Hasta Dance Academy. During her high school years, Raju developed an interest in Kuchipudi and trained under Kalaimamani Smt. Uma Murali, the founder and director of Subhasheela Academy of Fine Arts. She successfully completed her Kuchipudi Rangapravesam on February 26th, 2011, at the Music Academy in Chennai. Roshni Raju has performed Kuchipudi in various esteemed Sabhas across Chennai for almost ten years. She was honored with the Mahila Ratna Award by the Sri Kala Sudha Telugu Association in Chennai. In addition to her dance career, Raju holds a Bachelor's in Human Health Sciences and an MSc in Sonology, and she founded MED-bites, a venture that aims to bridge the gap between fine arts and health sciences through creative medical content writing and animation.
