Rupali Bhave is an Indian classical Kathak dancer and teacher based in Reston, Virginia, USA. She commenced her Kathak training around 2000, learning under the guidance of her mother, Uttara Bhave, who is the Founder and Artistic Director of Nrityanaad Academy of Kathak. Bhave continues her advanced training under the tutelage of renowned guru Pandita Maneesha Sathe. She has successfully completed the first part of the Alankar examinations in Kathak from Bharati Vidyapeeth University in Pune, India, achieving a Distinction, having passed this certification in November 2019. As of early 2020, she was pursuing her second Alankar certification. As a performer, Rupali Bhave has graced various stages, including the Kennedy Center and George Mason University. She has also had the opportunity to perform alongside her guru at the URMI show. In January 2020, she presented Nayika pieces from her Kathak repertoire with Shaalini Desai, portraying VASSIKASAJITHA in Kathak style at the "Baithak: Ashta Nayika" event. Her talent was recognized in April 2019 when she received the Star Performer award in the Classical dance category at the Infinity Indian Dance Competition. Bhave is also an active educator, serving as a teacher at the Nrityanaad Academy of Kathak, where she instructs students from Foundation level to Diploma 2 level.
