Sadanam Krishnadas Nair (1969-2018) was a prominent Kathakali actor from the Palakkad district of Kerala, South India. He was born on May 10, 1969, in the village of Koonathara, near Shoranur. In June 1983, he joined the Sadanam Kathakali academy, where he commenced his training under Kalanilayam Balakrishnan. He also received traditional training from the esteemed Kathakali actor-scholar Keezhpadam Kumaran Nair at the same institution. Sadanam Krishnadas made his stage debut in October 1983, portraying the role of Krishna. From 1984 until his passing, he performed as a Kathakali actor with the Sadanam school's Kathakali troupe, and at various clubs and festivals across India and in several foreign countries. Krishnadas served his alma mater, Sadanam, for many years and was recognized for his wide range and performances in leading roles, including anti-hero characters such as Ravana, Keechaka, and Duryodhana (Kathi characters), as well as Hanuman (vella thadi), Kattalan (karutha thadi), Chuvanna thadi (red beard), and Pacha (green or noble characters). He passed away on March 19, 2018, at the age of 49.
