Sailaja Pullela is a distinguished Guru, performer, choreographer, and teacher of Kuchipudi, an Indian classical dance form. Based in Michigan, USA, she is recognized for her extensive contributions to the art form, both as a solo artist and as the director of dance ballets. Sailaja Pullela is a senior disciple of the legendary Guru Padmabhushan Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam. She holds a Master's Degree in Kuchipudi Classical Dance from Potti Sriramulu Telugu University in Hyderabad and was awarded Natya Visharada from the Kuchipudi Art Academy, Hyderabad. She also received a Government of India scholarship for advanced training in Kuchipudi. With over 34 years of performing experience and 24 years as a professional teacher, Sailaja Pullela has more than 500 performances to her credit, encompassing both solo acts and ballets. She is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Natya Tarangini Kuchipudi Academy in Michigan, which has locations in South Lyon, Novi, and Northville. She also served as the director of the Tripadi Ganga Kuchipudi Dance Ballet in Novi, Michigan. Sailaja Pullela has conceptualized, scripted, choreographed, and directed several dance dramas, including "Meera" and "Shiva Ganga". Her choreographic works also include the dance ballets "Deepavali" and "Katha Kailika". Under her guidance, students from her academy, Natyanjali (likely Natya Tarangini), participated in the International Kuchipudi Convention and contributed to a Guinness World Record achievement.
