Samyuktha Shankar is an accomplished Indian classical dancer, choreographer, and teacher, primarily known for her expertise in Bharatanatyam, with a foundation also in contemporary dance. A dedicated disciple of "Karnataka Kalashree" Guru Smt. Revathi Narasimhan, founder of Natya Niketan Bangalore, Shankar has undergone over two decades of rigorous training. She holds a Master's in Fine Arts in Bharatanatyam from Annamalai University, Chidambaram, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Choreography from the Natya Institute of Kathak and Choreography. Additionally, she possesses a Bachelor's in Business Administration. Shankar has established herself as a prominent performer, having delivered over 75 solo performances and numerous group productions at prestigious venues nationally and internationally, including the Indian Fine Arts Society, Narada Gana Sabha's Natyarangam, and the Natyanjali festival in Chidambaram. She founded and directs the Sachidananda Arts Foundation in Bangalore, where she mentors the next generation of dancers. Her contributions to dance have been recognized with several accolades, including the 'Natya Bhushan' title and the Best Performer Award at Bharat Nritya Utsav 2019. In 2022, her production 'Hariharapura Sthala Mahimai' earned her the "Asthana Vidushi" title. She also represented India as a choreographer at the Dance World Cup 2023 in Portugal, securing a gold medal with her students, and was honored as the Cultural Ambassador of Cambodia in October 2024 after performing at the Angkor Wat temple.
