Sandeep Bodhanker is a distinguished Indian classical dancer, teacher, scholar, and choreographer specializing in Kuchipudi. He commenced his dance journey at the tender age of three or four, performing his first major solo with Sanskara Bharathi at nine years old. His training adhered to the traditional Guru Shishya Parampara, under the tutelage of eminent gurus such as Padmasri Dr. Vedantam Satyanarayana Sarma, Sri Vedantam Radheshyam, Sri Mahankali Mohan, and Sri Yeleswarapu Venkateswarlu. Bodhanker holds a Masters degree in Kuchipudi Nrityam and a Bachelors degree in Bharata Natyam. He also possesses a Diploma in acting and a Certificate in Carnatic Vocal music from SPSR Telugu University. Throughout his career, he has delivered over 1200 solo performances and garnered more than 300 Indian and international awards. Notably, he has been honored nine times by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation. Beyond performing, Sandeep Bodhanker has choreographed for Telugu motion pictures and produced high-quality Kuchipudi dance music. He has also served as a lecturer and choreographer, instructing students globally at Shri P.K. Salve Kala Pratisthan - International Academy of Music and Dance in Mumbai. Currently based in the United Kingdom, his mission is to preserve the purity of Kuchipudi and expand its appreciation worldwide.
