Sarah Sangeetha, born and raised in Switzerland, is a professional dancer with extensive training in Bharatanatyam, Western Contemporary Dance, Ballet, and Martial Arts. She began her Bharatanatyam journey at the age of six and performed her Arangetram in 2009 in Zurich, Switzerland, under the guidance of Vid. D. Keshava. Sarah holds a Master of Arts in Bharatanatyam from KSGH Music and Performing Arts University Mysore and pursued post-graduate studies in Natyashastra and its Karanas under the living legend Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam in Chennai. Since 2013, she has been under the tutelage of the renowned dance couple Renjith & Vijna in Chennai and has also refined her skills under Smt. Indira Kadambi and the late Sri Bhagavatulu Seetharam Sharma. Additionally, Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts diploma in Music and Movement from Music University Zurich (ZHdK), where she received training in Western Classical Music, composing, pedagogy, and various contemporary dance forms. In 2015, Sarah Sangeetha founded the Sangeetha School of Dance, which was rebranded as Nṛtya Sangeetha Art Space in 2024. Based near Zurich, Switzerland, the academy offers Bharatanatyam and Margi technique (Karanas/Natyashastra) classes to individuals and groups, both on-ground and online. Sarah has conducted workshops and performances across Europe and India. From 2018 to 2023, she was a dancer with the London-based Seeta Patel Dance, touring extensively with "The Rite of Spring." She has also been a member of the Punyah Dance Company and has choreographed and performed in various solo and collaborative productions. Sarah was a member of the Executive Committee of Swiss Natya Sabha for four years, an association promoting Indian performing arts in Switzerland.
