Sarvani Yadavalli is an acclaimed Indian classical Kuchipudi dancer, choreographer, and teacher, recognized as one of the foremost young talents in the art form today. An engineer by profession, she balances her corporate career with a profound passion for dance, having performed for over two decades in more than 15 countries. Born in India, she began her Kuchipudi training at the age of five, making her first stage appearance at seven. She received rigorous training from eminent gurus, all disciples of the legendary Padmabhushan Dr. Vempati China Satyam, including Padmasri Dr. Sobha Naidu, Smt. Seetha Nagajothy, Sri Vedantam Radhey Shyam, and Sri Raja Ram. She completed her Rangapravesam under the guidance of Dr. Sobha Naidu. Yadavalli also pursued a Certificate course in Kuchipudi dance from Potti Sree Ramulu University and has attended workshops with other renowned artists in Odissi, Kathak, and Bharatanatyam. Sarvani Yadavalli is an empanelled artist of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and the India World Cultural Forum (IWCF). She has graced prestigious stages globally, including the Commonwealth Games Inauguration in New Delhi in 2010, the Konark Dance Festival, Mamallapuram Dance Festival, and the World Festival of Youth & Students in Russia. Her captivating choreographies are noted for their ability to enthrall audiences and transport them to another world. She also uses the Indian classical dance form to address social issues and promote peace and harmony. She founded the Sahasra School of Fine Arts (also known as Sahasra School of Performing Arts), through which she imparts her knowledge and skills to the next generation of dancers, conducting online Kuchipudi classes for students worldwide. Currently based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, she actively promotes Indian cultural heritage through performances and workshops.
