Shabin Bright is a distinguished Indian classical dancer, celebrated for his mastery of Bharatanatyam. His artistic journey is deeply rooted in the rigorous training he received as a dedicated disciple of the esteemed Dr. S. Divyasena, under whose guidance he has cultivated a profound understanding and expressive command of this ancient dance form. Bright has emerged as a prominent performer, captivating audiences at numerous prestigious cultural festivals and institutions throughout India. His performance repertoire includes significant appearances at the 122nd Year Dance Festival - Bharat Nritya Utsav, where he presented a Bharatanatyam recital alongside Gajalakshmi Anbalagan. He has also been a featured artist in the acclaimed HCL Concerts series, presented by The Music Academy Madras, with a recorded performance in May 2023. Further showcasing his talent, Bright performed at the Coimbatore Shivaratri in 2024, sharing the stage with Upanisha K.. An earlier performance at the Temple of Fine Arts, Shantanand Auditorium in Malaysia, also highlights his international presence. A notable milestone in his career was achieved in August 2022 when he was honored with the "Best Dancer award" at the Spirit of Youth Dance Festival, an event organized by the venerable Madras Music Academy. This accolade underscores his exceptional skill and dedication to Bharatanatyam. Beyond his vibrant performing career, Shabin Bright is also a committed educator and the visionary head of the Nrithyashanthi Academy of Divine Fine Arts. Situated in Mylapore, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, this academy serves as a vital center for imparting traditional Bharatanatyam training and fostering the next generation of dancers.
