Shrilekha began her journey in the classical Indian dance form of Bharatanatyam at the age of three, training in the esteemed Pandanallur style under the expert guidance of Guru Sheela Chandrashekar at the Rathi School of Dance in Ottawa. From an early age, she demonstrated exceptional dedication, discipline, and a deep passion for the art form. Her natural aptitude, combined with years of rigorous training, enabled her to develop strong technical skills, expressive storytelling, and graceful stage presence. Over the years, Shrilekha has been an active performer with the Rathi School of Dance, participating in numerous Indian cultural programs and productions that celebrate the rich traditions of Bharatanatyam. Her commitment to excellence has also earned her opportunities to present solo performances at a variety of prestigious Canadian cultural organizations, multicultural festivals, community events, and special celebrations. Through these performances, she has shared the beauty and heritage of Bharatanatyam with diverse audiences, showcasing both the elegance of the Pandanallur style and her artistic maturity.
