Sneha Bharadwaj is a professional Indian classical dancer, choreographer, and educator who has significantly contributed to establishing an Indian Classical Dance scene in Munich, Germany. Originally from Bangalore, India, she moved to Munich around 2011. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Choreography from Bangalore University and a Master's degree in Fine Art from Bharatidasan University. Bharadwaj is the founder and artistic director of two institutions in Munich: 'Abhinaya Indischer Tanz,' an Indian dance school established in October 2011, and 'Abhinaya Tanz Kampani,' a dance company founded in 2016 to explore new expressions in dance. She imparts intensive training in Bharatanatyam, BharataNrityam, Kathak, Semi-Classical, and Indian folk dance. Over her career, Sneha Bharadwaj has performed at various dance festivals across India, Germany, USA, France, Switzerland, Poland, and Croatia. Her productions, including 'Soulmate,' 'Shakti,' 'Sambhrama,' 'Tarang,' 'Nritya Parva,' 'Leela,' and 'Sammilana' (a collaboration with Western classical ballet), have garnered acclaim. She is also trained in Yoga and Indian Martial Arts. Awards & Honours: Aryabhatta Award (2005).
