Somnath Pradhan is an Indian classical Odissi dancer, performer, and teacher. He received his training under the tutelage of the esteemed Guru Gangadhar Pradhan. Based in India, Somnath Pradhan has established himself as a respected guru in the Odissi tradition. His dedication to the art form is evident through his role in nurturing the next generation of Odissi dancers. In 2011, his students were among the participants in a significant event that aimed to create a Guinness World Record for Odissi dance, an occasion where Guru Somnath Pradhan expressed his belief that such international platforms elevate the global recognition of Odissi. He has taught students who have gone on to become dancers and choreographers, such as Amrita Pati, who furthered her Odissi instruction with him in Bhubaneswar.
