Shri Srinivas Samanna Hirimagalur commenced his Bharatanatyam training at the tender age of five, cultivating a profound interest and passion for the classical Indian dance form. His early education was meticulously guided by his Guru, Trichur Surendranathan, under whose tutelage he performed his Arangetram in Chennai, India, at the age of thirteen. Throughout his school years, Srinivas actively participated in various performances, showcasing his dedication to Bharatanatyam. Later in his career, he relocated to the United Kingdom, where he has continued to be an active performer in the dance community. He has graced numerous events across the UK with his performances. A significant milestone in his journey was performing alongside his daughters at their Arangetram in Bangalore in 2018. In recent years, Shri Srinivas Hirimagalur has taken on an honorary faculty role at the PraNartana School of Indian Classical Dance in Bristol, where he assists Dr. Vasumathi Prasad. In this capacity, he contributes to nurturing the next generation of Bharatanatyam dancers, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to the art form as both a performer and a teacher.
