Sulakshana Jayaram is a highly acclaimed exponent of Bharatanatyam, recognized for her dynamic technique, captivating stage presence, and emotive interpretations. She received her training in the Pandanallur bani and is a senior student of Guru Pandanallur Srinivasa Pillai. Jayaram made her arangetram at the age of ten and has since performed over 200 solo recitals. She is an accredited 'A' grade artist with Doordarshan, India, and an empaneled artist with the India Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). Her career has seen her perform at major dance festivals across India and internationally in the USA and Germany. Notably, she represented India as a cultural ambassador in Germany during an ICCR-sponsored tour in November 2006. Sulakshana Jayaram is also the founder of the Shivoham School of Dance. She has been a recipient of a cultural scholarship for ten continuous years since 1990 and a production grant for original creative work from the Ministry of Culture.
