Surashree Bhattacharya is an accomplished Indian classical Kathak dancer, recognized as a national scholar and a graded artist of Doordarshan Prasar Bharati. She is also an empanelled artist of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). Bhattacharya received advanced training in Kathak from the legendary Pt. Birju Maharaj ji through regular workshops. With over 15 years of experience as a Kathak practitioner, she has performed at numerous prestigious festivals across the globe, representing Indian culture in over 25 countries. Her choreographic works include compositions such as "Pancha Durga," "Shivoshakti," "Swachha Bharat Aviyan," and "Mahapran". Beyond dance, Surashree Bhattacharya is also proficient in vocal music, particularly in singing Thumri, Ghazal, and Baithaki Bhaw. She holds a Sangeet Visharad in both Kathak and vocal music.
