Kalakhetram has been active for the last 25 years, operating under the guidance of Susmita Bhattacharya and Dr. Subhashish Bhattacharya, who is a Professor at Rabindra Bharati University. As a dance director and guru, Susmita Bhattacharya is involved in choreographing and directing performances for Kalakhetram. The institute offers classes in various dance forms, including Kathak. Kalakhetram's performances include Tagore Dance Dramas such as "Chitrangada" and "Anubhabe Rabindranath," which have been showcased at numerous venues across the Bengal region in India and globally.
