Swarnamayee Behera is an Odissi practitioner and performing artist. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Performing Art in Odissi Dance. Behera began her Odissi training in 2016 and has been under the guidance of Guru Sohini Biswas for five years as of 2023. She has actively participated in numerous competitions and festivals, including those held in Kolkata. Her talent has been recognized with several accolades, including a gold medal in Odissi Dance in 2020, securing the 3rd position in both All India and Global Odissi Dance competitions in the same year, and receiving the Chairman's award for 4th position in the Global Odissi competition in 2019. Swarnamayee Behera has showcased her performances in various platforms, notably in the Udayaraag Dance Series organized by the Orissa Dance Academy. She is also listed as a performing artist and teacher at Gunjan Dance Academy, contributing to the propagation of the Odissi classical dance form. Her YouTube channel features her performing various Odissi basic steps and bhramaris, demonstrating her dedication to the art form.
