Tara Priyadarshini Bikkasani is a professional Bharatanatyam dancer, choreographer, organiser, and teacher. She received extensive training in Bharatanatyam from several esteemed gurus, including Nrithya Choodamani Smt. Krishnaveni Lakshmanan of Kalakshetra, Prof. M. R. Krishnamurthy, Smt. Uma Sundaram, and Smt. Uma Rao of Kalakshetra, Chennai, India. Additionally, she had the privilege of learning Abhinayam from Padma Shri. Dr. Nataraja Ramakrishna of Hyderabad and Smt. Saride Manikyamma, a renowned exponent of the "Temple Dance form" from Hyderabad. Bikkasani has performed extensively across India, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and various South East Asian countries, garnering attention from media and art connoisseurs. Her choreographic works include productions such as Ramayana, Krishnam Vande Jagat Guru, Dhasavatharam, Draupadi, and Nrithya-Milana, which amalgamates various Indian classical forms. She has made notable appearances at significant national and international dance festivals. Based in Tampa, Florida, USA, Tara Priyadarshini Bikkasani is the founder and director of Rudram Dance Company, a premier dance school where she teaches and trains students for performances. She previously taught at the University of Florida in Gainesville for several semesters and has been invited to conduct workshops, lectures, demonstrations, and performances at various universities, including Purdue, South Bend, and Indianapolis. She began teaching dance and formed a studio called Tanmayee in Tampa, Florida, by 1998. Many of her students have had their Arangetram (debut performances) and continue to dance with the Rudram Dance Company. She holds a Post Graduate degree in Industrial Psychology from Bangalore University.
