Tripti Bhupen is an accomplished Indian classical dancer, primarily recognized for her expertise in Bharatanatyam. Her journey in dance began at an early age, inspired by a performance of the legendary Yamini Krishnamoorti. She pursued advanced training at the esteemed Kalakshetra in Chennai, completing her post-graduation after four years of study. A significant early career highlight was her selection to participate in the Festival of India in Russia in 1987. Having grown up traveling across India due to her father's military service, Tripti Bhupen developed a deep appreciation for India's diverse cultural traditions. She later established herself in Dubai, where she founded the Samarpan Classical Dance Ensemble around 2005. Under her leadership, the ensemble became a prominent group, regularly performing at events such as the World Dance Day celebrations in Dubai. In 2008, the Samarpan Classical Dance Ensemble was invited to perform for the 60th Anniversary celebrations of Indian Independence at the Indian Consulate in Dubai. Beyond her performing career, Tripti Bhupen is also a dedicated teacher and choreographer. She has choreographed various dance forms, including dandiya and garba for Zee TV's Navratri special, and has directed fusion pieces for her ensemble. As of 2019, she was also affiliated with the Gandharva Maha Vidyalaya and the Samarpan School of Performing Arts in Ahmedabad, India. Her performances include a Bharatanatyam Thillana, "Kadanakutuhalam," and an Ashtapadi. Tripti Bhupen's talents extend beyond dance to include singing, poetry, and acting in television serials.
