Trisha Chhaganlal is an accomplished Kathak and Bollywood Dance Instructor, deeply rooted in the traditions of Indian classical dance. Her initial training in Kathak began in New Zealand under the tutelage of her mother, Leena Chhaganlal, who herself has an extensive background in Kathak dance and performance art across Fiji, New Zealand, and the USA. After her family's relocation to Florida, Trisha pursued her interests in Arts and Dance at Rollins College. She further refined her Kathak expertise through advanced training with Saveeta Sharma in Canada. Trisha Chhaganlal is recognized for establishing Orlando's first Kathak school, which provides comprehensive dance classes in Kathak, Bollywood, and Garba. This institution is known as LTR Dance, where Trisha serves as the Marketing Director. LTR Dance is a family endeavor, with her mother, Leena Chhaganlal, as the Artistic Director, and her sister, Ritisha Khatri, also involved in choreography and instruction. Through LTR Dance, Trisha is actively involved in teaching, choreographing, and producing dance performances, contributing significantly to the cultural landscape of Indian classical dance in the United States. Beyond her work in Orlando, Trisha has also contributed to the classical dance community in the Bay Area, where she worked in social media management, focusing on fostering authentic online connections for various classical dance companies. Her dedication extends to making Kathak accessible, offering both local and online classes. Trisha's work emphasizes the rich traditions of Indian classical dance through intricate footwork, expressive gestures, and vibrant energy, aiming to inspire and educate students of all ages.
