She established "Satvikam Shivam, School of Indian Cultural Heritage" in 2002, an institution located in the Hartford, Connecticut area, where she serves as the Bharatantyam Kalaguru and artistic director. Pathak's foundational training in Bharatanatyam culminated in her achieving a "Nrutya Tirth" degree in the classical form in 1993, marking a significant milestone in her artistic journey. At Satvikam Shivam, Urvi Pathak is deeply committed to the preservation and promotion of Indian culture and its traditional arts. The school offers a comprehensive and structured seven-year Bharatanatyam curriculum, meticulously covering essential elements such as adavus (basic steps), abhinaya (expressive dance), margam items (traditional repertoire), performance techniques, and theoretical knowledge.
