V. Anuradha Singh is an internationally renowned classical Kathak dancer, celebrated as a leading exponent of the Raigarh Gharana. Based in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India, she is recognized for her highly energetic and devotional Kathak performances, characterized by magnetic expressions, rapid spins (up to 140 per minute), and intricate ghunghroo (footwork) artistry. Her unique style also encompasses "Ghunghroo Vadan," a pure classical music concert focusing solely on foot percussion, which she is credited with discovering and bringing to the classical music stage. She has also innovated with Sufiana Kathak and Divine Kathak, integrating poetry and devotional songs into her presentations. Anuradha Singh received extensive training under the Guru-Shishya Parampara at Chakradhar Nritya Kendra, learning from eminent Kathak gurus such as the late Pt. Kartikramji and Pt. Ramlalji of the Raigarh Gharana. She also received a four-year Kathak scholarship and fellowship from the Government of Madhya Pradesh. Academically, she holds a Master's degree in Kathak, graduating with a Gold Medal from Indira Kala Sangeet University, Khairagarh, C.G.. Her illustrious career began with her debut at the young age of 17 during the "Festival of India" in the USSR in 1988, organized by the Government of India. Since then, she has performed in over 1000 prestigious national and international festivals, captivating audiences across India, the USA, UK, Germany, France, Singapore, Mexico, and Thailand, among others. She is an empanelled solo Kathak artist in the "Outstanding category" of the International Cultural Relations (ICR), Festival of India abroad cell, Ministry of Culture, Government of India. To promote and propagate Kathak dance, V. Anuradha Singh established Vrinda Kathak Kendra in 1991. She also runs multiple Kathak centers in Bhopal, offering diploma and degree courses affiliated with Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad. These centers, including "V Anuradha Singh Dance & Music Classes" and "V Anuradha Singh Kathak Dance Centre," are located in areas like M.P. Nagar, Rohit Nagar, and Arera Colony. She has trained approximately 5500 students in Kathak.
