Vaisnavi Shanthamoorthy is a Srilankan Tamil Canadian Bharatanatyam dancer. She began her training at the age of seven at the Laya Bhava Dance Academy under the tutelage of Guru Smt. Kirupanithy Ratneswaran. Shanthamoorthy completed her Bharatanatyam arangetram in August 2012. She has performed extensively throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and is also a dancer for the Sahana Dance Company. In 2016, she secured first place at the Navarasa Natyam Dance competition. Her notable performances include "Flourishing in the Further Soil" presented by the Menaka Thakkar Dance Company in November 2018, and a performance alongside Indhuvadana Malli (Adyar K Lakshman) in "Bhakthi Pravaham" in 2018. As a senior student of Laya Bhava Dance Academy, she also choreographed and performed a dance project titled "Chidambaranaatha" in July 2020. Awards & Honours: First place at Navarasa Natyam Dance competition (2016).
