Vanditha Mohan is a highly trained and artistic Bharatanatyam and Kathak dancer, dedicated to these sacred art forms for over 18 years. She commenced her Bharatanatyam training under the tutelage of Guru Padma Shri Chitra Vishweswaran and further honed her skills with Guru Shri S. Shivakumar and Smt. Shailaja Shivakumar. Her formal Kathak training was under Guru Jigyasa Giri. Mohan made her maiden public performance, or arangetram, in 2007. Recognized for her talent, Vanditha Mohan is a Doordarshan graded artiste. She was chosen as an ambassador to popularize Bharatanatyam and was among the few selected as best dancers by Eyal Esai Nataka Mandram, a Government of Tamil Nadu undertaking. She secured the first prize in the solo classical dance competition "Thaka Thimi Tha" on Jaya TV, which garnered international appreciation. Additionally, she won a prize in a Bharatanatyam competition organized by Akhil Bharatiya Sanskritik Sangh. Her notable performances include the 1000th-year celebration of Thanjai Periya Koil, an event featured in the Limca Book of Records. She has collaborated on various productions with esteemed classical dance and music doyens such as Padma Vibhushan Shri Balamuralikrishna and Padma Bhushan Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam. Currently based in Dallas, Texas, Vanditha Mohan founded the Nrithyarpanam Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA) around 2019, where she serves as an institution head and teacher, providing comprehensive training in Bharatanatyam. Her students have achieved significant success, winning multiple awards in prestigious competitions like the Natya Idol competition, Sanskriti competition by Radha Krishna temple, and the Papanasam Sivan festival. Beyond performing and teaching, Mohan is also a television host and choreographer, having been the creative head and compere for "Natyanjali" on Vasanth TV and a solo performer and choreographer for "Classical Rhythms" aired on Sunmusic India.
