Varsha Seshan is an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer and teacher with over thirty years of training in the classical art form. She has performed extensively both in India and internationally. Seshan is associated with the Academy of Indian Dances, where she also teaches and plays the nattuvangam, a rhythmic accompaniment for dance. Her guru is Guru Mythili Raghavan. She is actively involved in the dance community, conducting workshops on aspects like Abhinaya and contributing to the choreography of dance dramas. Beyond her contributions to Indian classical dance, Varsha Seshan is also a prolific and award-winning author of children's books, with her literary works published by notable houses such as Scholastic, Harper Collins, Oxford University Press, and Puffin. She is based in Pune, India.
