Voleti Sree Rekha is a prominent Indian classical dancer and teacher specializing in Kuchipudi, particularly the Devalaya Aaradhana Nrityams (Temple dance) tradition. Born in Ahmedabad into a distinguished artistic family, she is the daughter of renowned dance guru Voleti Rangamani and the granddaughter of the internationally acclaimed Kuchipudi and Temple dance guru C.R. Acharya. Growing up immersed in the world of dance, she began her training at the tender age of six, making her stage debut in the seventh grade. Sree Rekha's dedication to Kuchipudi deepened into a lifelong passion, leading her to become a proficient performer. She inherited and continues the rich family tradition, which includes the specialized Devalaya Aaradhana Nrityams. Her formative years were spent in Hyderabad, where her mother, Voleti Rangamani, established the Abhinaya Darpana Arts Academy in 1980. Her mother has been her primary role model, inspiration, and teacher, and Sree Rekha has imbibed the intricate traditions of Kuchipudi from both her mother and grandfather. Throughout her career, Voleti Sree Rekha has actively participated in her mother's programs and has performed key roles in numerous ballets. She demonstrates a strong command over various elements of the Kuchipudi tradition, including Karanams, Tandavams, Javalis, Padalu, Shabdalu, Ashtapadulu, and Daruvu. Beyond her performing career, Sree Rekha is a dedicated educator, having trained over 500 students through the Abhinaya Darpana Arts Academy and its various training centers. She currently serves as the Assistant Dance Director at the academy and harbors aspirations to establish more dance centers across India. She has also organized and conducted short-term workshops for advanced students in Kuchipudi and Temple Ritual Dances in cities like Vijayawada, Eluru, and Hyderabad. Notably, she has participated in and performed the rare Kuchipudi temple ritual dance "Simhanandini" alongside her mother, Voleti Rangamani.
