Yamini Reddy is a renowned Indian Kuchipudi dancer, teacher, choreographer, and the Director of Natya Tarangini, Hyderabad. Born on September 1, 1982, in New Delhi, she is the daughter and disciple of legendary Kuchipudi exponents Padma Bhushan Dr. Raja Reddy and Radha Reddy, and Kaushalya Reddy. She began her training at an early age, performing from the age of three, and has since become a three-time National awardee. Reddy holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, New Delhi, and a postgraduate degree in International Business from Fore School, New Delhi. She has performed extensively in India and abroad, touring the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States, the UAE, and Southeast Asia. Notable performances include the prestigious Wigmore Hall in London in 2011 and for various heads of state at the BRICS and SCO summits in Russia and East Europe in 2009. She has also presented her art before dignitaries such as the President of Hungary, the First Lady of Slovenia, and former Indian President A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. In 2007, Yamini Reddy founded Natya Tarangini Hyderabad, a branch of the institution established by her parents in 1976, dedicated to teaching and training young individuals in Kuchipudi. She is also an acclaimed choreographer, with her production 'Harmony,' a collaboration with modern dancer Leah Curtis from New York, receiving critical appreciation and an invitation to perform at the Nishagandhi Dance Festival in Kerala. Additionally, she authored a research thesis titled "Audience Development for the Performing Arts in India." Yamini Reddy is actively involved in organizing the 'Parampara Series' music and dance festivals in Delhi and Hyderabad.
