Guru Yogini Khanorkar is a prominent Kathak exponent and educator based in Hyderabad, India, known for her rare blend of technical mastery and expressive depth. She is the founder and principal instructor of Yogini Kathak, also known as Yogini Institute of Performing Arts, which was established in 2011 and is recognized as one of South India's premier institutions for Kathak education. Her extensive training includes over 15 years under renowned Kathak Guru Smt. Lalita Hardas. She has also received guidance from Kathak Samrat Pt. Birju Maharaj and Guru Pt. Rajendra Gangani Ji through workshops, masterclasses, and personalized sessions. Guru Khanorkar holds an MFA-Master of Fine Arts in Kathak from Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (2023) and a Kathak Visharad from ABGMVM, Mumbai (2003). She is also a Registered Guru for Kathak Alankar with ABGMVM, Mumbai, and a Doordarshan (DD-Graded Artist) with Prasar Bharati. With more than 25 years of teaching experience, Guru Khanorkar is a dedicated performer, educator, and choreographer. Her academy, Yogini Kathak, is an official ABGMVM examination center in Hyderabad, offering structured training in the Lucknow, Jaipur, and Banaras Gharanas of Kathak. The institute provides comprehensive education from foundational levels to Visharad and Alankar degrees, emphasizing a holistic approach that includes practical dance, theory, and stage performance.
