Journey Timeline
1983
Settled in France — Moved to France and began her career as a Kathak exponent and teacher.
1986
Moved to Nantes and began teaching in French — Started teaching Kathak at Maison de la Culture de Loire Atlantique (MCLA), Nantes, adapting to French as the medium of instruction.
1990
Presented 'Prayas' — Showcased 30 senior students in a two-hour performance at the National Stage in Nantes.
1996
Founded 'Bindi' and served as Artistic Director — Established 'Bindi,' a Centre for Indian Arts, and was the Artistic Director of the Festival d'été for Nantes City Council.
2011
Presented 'Parampara' — Choreographed and presented 'Parampara,' exploring mother-daughter and guru-shishya traditions.
2016
Conceived and curated 'Namaste France' festival — Organized the cultural festival 'Namaste France' in Nantes.
2019
Conferred Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award — Received the highest honor for overseas Indians from the President of India. Also honored by the City of Nantes and the Indian Embassy.
