Training under Vazhenkada Kunchu Nair — Began learning under Padma Shri Vazhenkada Kunchu Nair at P.S.V. Natyasangham, Kottakkal, and later at Kerala Kalamandalam.
Higher studies — Received higher training under Kalamandalam Ramankutty Nair and Kalamandalam Padmanabhan Nair.
