Second public performance — Performed in Moina Parijat at Nagaon, Assam, following her first performance at age 8 in Diphu club.
1996
Began Odissi training — Learned Odissi under Guru Garima Hazarika for research purposes.
2005
Obtained Ph.D. — Received her Ph.D. from Gauhati University on 'The Sattriya and the Odissi Dances: A Comparative Study'.
2006
Received Srimanta Sankardeva Research Award — Awarded by Sri Sri Auniati Sattra for her contribution to the study of Sattriya Dance.
2011
Received World Dance Day Puraskar — Awarded by Nataraj Music and Dance Academy, Visakhapattanam.
