Nakshatra Theatre of Indian Dance was founded in Kyiv, Ukraine, in 2003 by Ganna Smirnova, a Ukrainian Bharatanatyam exponent. The institution focuses on teaching Bharatanatyam and promoting Indian art and culture. In 2010, it was honored with the title of Ukraine's National Amateur Collective.
