Our revered founder, Kalamandalam Krishnankutty Poduval — the legendary Kathakali maestro, visionary, and an enduring symbol of devotion to the classical arts of Kerala. Over the years, Kalasagar has had the honour of presenting the Kalasagar Award to many distinguished artists in recognition of their exceptional contributions to traditional performing arts. This annual celebration has grown into a cherished event on Kerala’s cultural calendar, attracting artists, scholars, and patrons from across the nation who share our passion for safeguarding India’s artistic legacy. GURUSMARANADINAM another event, Kalasagar has been privileged to felicitate some of the greatest luminaries in Indian art and culture, including Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam, Dr. T. N. Krishnan, Shri M. S.
