About
The Tanjai Kamalaa Indira Dance School was established in 1966 and has now become one of the leading dance schools in Malaysia. The school has organised many dance dramas, including 'Shiva Gowri', 'Karaikal Ammaiyar', 'Sivagamiyin Sabatham' (staged in 1991 for its 25th anniversary in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Ipoh), 'Kannagi' (staged in 1998 in Petaling Jaya, Sepang and Seremban), and 'Ramayana and Snow White and the Seven Dwarves' (staged in 2001). Graduates from the school have performed at the 6th and 7th World Tamil Research Conference held in Kuala Lumpur and Mauritius, and also in Mauritius for Tamil Puthandu in April 2001.
