Abhinaya Rohan is an Indian classical dancer primarily trained in Bharatanatyam. She commenced her Bharatanatyam training at the age of five under her initial gurus, Smt. Mahalakshmi and Shri G Narendra, who are graduates of the esteemed Kalakshetra Institute in Chennai. During her upbringing in Chennai, she performed at prominent venues including Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Music Academy, Bharath Kalachar, and Narada Gana Sabha. She also served as a principal dancer in her gurus' 'Avigna dance Ensemble'. Rohan has performed extensively across India in cities such as Cochin, Madurai, Trichy, Coimbatore, Bangalore, Bombay, and Trissur, and internationally in Indonesia and Singapore. She is currently based in Bengaluru, where she continues her advanced training under Smt. Chitra Chandrasekhar Dasarathy. As a member of her guru's 'Ameya Repertory', she has undertaken tours to countries like Morocco and Senegal, sponsored by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). Abhinaya Rohan is also a Chartered Accountant, having previously worked with corporate firms such as Deloitte and Goldman Sachs, before dedicating herself entirely to dance. She is the granddaughter of the legendary dance choreographer Udupi Jayaram. She is in the process of establishing her own dance school, named 'Kala Sadhan' (also referred to as 'Kala Sathan'), with the aim of teaching various art forms to children.
